Geocaching the Congaree River Blue Trail

Geocaching is an outdoor recreational activity, in which participants use a Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver or mobile device and other navigational techniques to hide and seek containers, called “geocaches” or “caches”, anywhere in the world.

There are currently over 20 such Geocaches hidden along the Congaree River Blue Trail and many more on the other rivers in the Columbia area.

Our Geocaching trip starts at Newman Landing on the Congaree River and ends at our exclusive take out point 11 miles downstream. On this section of river you will get to see many of the sandbars the Congaree has to offer and a sunken river barge. You will also have the opportunity to find 12 of the Geocaches on this section of the Congaree River.

Cost is $50 per person and that includes your kayak, paddle, vest, return transportation and a new trackable Geocoin made special for us!. (GPS is not provided, you must bring your own)
